Athena Software is pleased to announce the introduction of a medication management and e-prescribing integration for Penelope, the Waterloo, Ont. company’s cloud-based case management software platform for health and human services organizations.
This new functionality is the result of a partnership between Athena and DrFirst, the Maryland-based industry leader in healthcare technology whose web-based medication management platform, Rcopia, will now seamlessly integrate with Penelope.
This integration provides convenient single sign-on access from Penelope to Rcopia, meaning that Penelope users at behavioral health organizations across the U.S. can swiftly and securely access a patient’s medication history to order needed refills or new medications without any delay in service delivery.
This robust new module also helps save time and clicks for busy staff, enabling Athena’s growing customer base to provide more efficient and effective service to their clients.
“The integration between Penelope and Rcopia is an exciting development and one that helps our customers provide the best possible service to their clients,” said Diane Stanley-Horn, Chief Marketing Officer at Athena. “This will help streamline workflows for our customers when managing client medications, resulting in significant time savings and an improved patient experience. Athena is committed to providing innovative, client-centered solutions to the health and social services sector, and we are proud to announce this latest step forward.”
