Penelope Case Management Software Selected by Triad Health Project

Triad Health Project has selected Athena Software’s pre-configured Penelope case management software platform to help increase efficiency, decrease paper usage, and improve client engagement and reporting.

Athena Software is very happy to announce that Triad Health Project (THP) has chosen the pre-configured Penelope case management software platform to help increase organizational efficiency, modernize their case file management, and improve client engagement, reporting, and billing.

Triad Health Project LogoBased in Greensboro, THP has been providing emotional and practical support to individuals living with HIV in North Carolina for almost 35 years. Now one of the largest AIDS service organizations in the state, THP advocates locally, regionally, and nationally for individuals and groups infected with or affected by HIV, via services that include Case Management, a day center, a client food pantry, education and prevention outreach, and HIV testing.

THP selected Athena’s pre-configured Penelope database option in August and are already implementing the software at the organization. Amy Reese, Clinical Director at THP, said that Penelope was the ideal choice to manage their growing client base and reduce their use of paper.

“Our agency serves around 500 clients and, as caseloads have grown, we began searching for more efficient solutions than continuing our 34-year relationship with paper-based files (and the inherently massive storage issues),” she said. “Penelope offers an online system that dramatically limits the need for paper and includes electronic signatures while allowing for documents to be uploaded into the system as needed.”

Penelope’s ease of use and exceptional training and support resources were also factors in THP’s decision to move forward with the software.

“We chose Penelope after interviewing other agencies about their experiences and test-driving several other software solutions. Penelope offered a user-friendly format that has an easy flow. The training platform is extensive, and Penelope’s staff of experts have been super-responsive to any questions or issues from day one,” said Reese.

And, though THP is not yet live with the system, Reese said the organization looks forward to realizing the many benefits of Penelope’s extensive feature set.

“In addition to managing files online, Penelope includes excellent options for listing commonly-used resource information and contacts, and a platform that allows clients to communicate with their Case Managers, maintain and observe their progress, and complete forms online,” she said. “It directly ties billing units to client activities, which we anticipate will streamline our billing and reporting processes and allow us to eliminate unnecessary duplications among our systems.”
